G Willy's "Cross Canada Recording Project"

Technology today has enabled us to do some fantastic things. I have managed to group together a few old band-mates for a "virtual" multi-track recording. The drums and bass were done at a studio in Victoria BC by Greg "Murph" Murray (drums) and "Bubba" Jack Gunderson (bass). The piano, Hammond B3 and Moog keyboard parts were provided by "Cap'n" John Peer from way east in Hubbards Nova Scotia! I finished it off with the guitars and vocals here in Whistler. It was amazing listening to the headphones and doing the guitar tracks and truly getting a sensation that my old friends were really in the room playing along! Thanks guys.

Further to all of this, this song is of great personal importance to me. It is a song of suffering, hope and healing. We all suffer to some degree but it seems some are dealt far more than their fair share. In particular I send this out to Dic, Kimby, Dee, Joyce and my Mother Patricia who have all proven that one can overcome life's biggest obstacles and still share your smile and laughter.
